A PERFECT SADNESS

A PERFECT SADNESS

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Dreading the upcoming fourth anniversary of my son's death.

"

A PERFECT SADNESS

A perfect sadness shrouds my days,
Through space and darkened nights.
The silence which the moon adorns,
Gives way without a fight.

In secrecy the pain is borne
And in its glow I bask.
The aching felt within my breast
Unfits me for the task.

Intense...the image in my mind,
Behind the sterile door.
Your lifeless form sans every pain,
Within that world of yours.

I kiss your cheek...I hold your hand,
And long for you to be...
Released to me on brighter shores
Where every captive's free.

~~

In loving memory

I started writing (in my language) during many sleepless nights after my mum passed away more than 12 years ago. Then 8 years later I suddenly stopped writing completely just after my Dad’s gone. I'm not sure why! I still love and miss them very much but I don’t feel sad when I'm thinking of them any more. I'm sure that they are happy together by now. I hope time will heal everything and you may feel better when thinking of your son because I'm sure that he wants you happy Miss Sharon.

may his soul rest in peace
I can truly understand your pain
I lost two friends in a year
it's an irreparable loss

but we have to cope up anyway :)

Sharon, I am sorry for your loss.
This one touched me deeply...more deeply than I can convey to you.
There is someone important in my life who has been in poor health for a long time now, bravely battling through each day. I get tears in my eyes and a knot in my gut when I think of losing him. I don't think I will ever be ready to let him go.

Like jacob says, I do believe that we should allow ourselves to bask in sorrow. We need to do that in order to process it and move on..eventually. We never really get over the loss of someone who has been important to us, but we do learn how to live with the emptiness they've left in our lives.

a very moving poem, Sharon...the sadness overwhelming...but i am sure he is waiting for you on brighter shores, and you will see him again one day...the title is a perfect oxymoron...

sometimes people tell us not to be sad...they say 'what good will that do?" and that we need to move on...but there is some sadness we do not want to move on from...some memories we just need to keep, and will...
