THE SEARCH

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

We all are searching for something.

"
What are you searching for today?
By looking back you may gain experience,
But oft times you may also be blindsided by
A pain that once had healed...now the
Wound is tender, open and bleeding once again.

You may look forward to things which are to come
And it may bring you the hope for which you long...
But if the reality of your present can not accept that
Hope for which you've longed, your looking will be in vain.

As one last resort and desperate attempt
To cling to something of lasting value,
You may look within to find...yourself?
I have done that many times and instead of finding
Myself, the cycle once again begins to repeat itself....
With all those things that I've experienced.

Looking within to find happiness and hope is a wise thing to do. We are part and parcel of our experiences. We have to draw knowledge from them if we are to grow and to learn. I liked the life advice in your words, Sharon. Lydi**
