COLOR ME ABSENT

COLOR ME ABSENT

A Poem by Miss Sharon

Writing from a photo prompt....

COLOR ME ABSENT

Color me absent as though I were not
Leave me to linger on things you forgot
Rush me to Eden where words love to play
Sing me to sleep-land as you walk away

Rock me in memories broken apart
Think me to neverland paintings of art
Wish me to nothingness if you must go
Help me to understand why blood must flow

Sit me beside you like Christmas in June
Lift me to new love beneath star-lit moons
Rush me to Eden where words love to play
Sing me to sleep-land as you walk away
~~

Incredible rhythm and rhyme in this impassioned plea. We all want to be rocked on memories and brought to a place where words dance for us...a place where the world is new and multi-colored. The emotions throughout this one are honest....and some are pained. Sharon, this is one of your best. The artwork you chose to accompany your words is gorgeous. Brava! Lydi**
