Such a sad and frequent reality in our nation. We hear much talk these days about a woman's "right" to abortion. But nobody speaks about the rights of the unborn. They have no voice. But I've never...NEVER... seen life that did not desire to continue, not in a plant struggling to rise from the soil or in a fish trying to escape the hook. A man or woman might take pity on a dying plant or a dying animal quicker than they would give a chance to a human fetus to live. Something seems very wrong to me in that equation. People tell me all the time I'm crazy because I became a dad again in my late fifties. And we were advised to terminate our pregnancy because it was "dangerous". My wife was in her late forties and had been told she could never have children because of her health and the fact she had lost a previous child in miscarriage in a previous marriage. But she had dreamed all her life of becoming a mother. We were told there was risk to the fetus itself and that it might be damaged, the child could be born with birth defects or brain damage. I told my wife, God has got this. Our eight year old is healthy and strong and an A honor roll student at her school. She is the beautiful apple of her father's eye and the joy of his later years. So...I have an eight year old daughter and a thirty-eight year old daughter and grandchildren the same age as my daughter. I'm reminded of the words of Neville Brand in the John Wayne movie Cahill US Marshall, he tells John Wayne's character, "Nothing's EVER too late, if you "love" it." I wholeheartedly agree.

Yikes! I think I'm glad you leave the rest of the story to our imagination. And now that sad walk comes after a long drive from a state that has made abortion illegal. That's a lot said in a little poem.
What a choice to contemplate. I can only hope they have second thoughts and walk straight back out again. Sad thoughts Sharon.
