We WILL face eternity someday.

IT'S FOR YOUR SAKE

I sleep today...don't ask me why

That I would choose to bleed and die

If my tomorrow never breaks

Please do not cry for my mistakes

Be not remorseful or remiss

I shall forever hold your kiss

Unto my heart where it was born

To be imprisoned on the morn

Now I lay me down to die

I sleep today and don't ask why

If in the morning light I wake

Please be it known...it's for your sake

When I awake on other shores

To there begin forevermore

Remember every golden day

When on the earth I knelt to pray

There is a musicality to all of your poems, this coupled with the faultless rhyming always makes them a joy to read.
As you rightly say we will all face eternity one day but until that time we must make the best fist possible of whatever life deems to throw our way.

Sometimes all we can do is to sleep, because everything else, including thinking takes too much from us.
It is neither right nor wrong, but only an answer is sometimes the only answer we can find.

Some people who are depressed like to sleep, because waking up to an uncomfortable situation is painful and they just want to die... but with no remorse...but you want your love to not regret this, that your passion for him remains forever...I like the repetition of sleep and die.
