Moonlit Waltz through a Graveyard

Moonlit Waltz through a Graveyard

A Poem by Orpheus

Hand in hand

Spinning in circles

The couple dances

Tombstones

Bleached by moonlight

Silvered by frost

Surround them

A glowing

Shimmering

Forest of stone

Their feet leave marks

In the frosted grass

As they dance

Over a mans

Final resting place

Over small hills

Of dirt, bone, and flesh

A ghostly orchestra

Backgrounds their dance

Spectral musicians

Providing the music

The dead rise from their grave

Pushing aside coffins

Dirt

Rocks

To dance once again

An unholy display

Through the bleached bones

The phantasmal players

The couple dances

Hand in hand

Waiting for dawn to rise

The sunlight

Diffusing their spirits

Back to their graves
