Heartaches

Everyone goes through heartaches

When something’s wrong,

I don’t know what to do.

All there is, is wishing

That probably won’t come true.

 

They say that it’s temporary,

It won’t last forever,

Even when it’s hard at first,

It’s just the same as never

 

He gave me those promises,

A swear that we’d fall in love,

But then came the heartache,

A break off of love,

From fair kisses and laughs,

A perfect piece of the others half.

 

One word murmured,

The other three shattered.

So blurred and rushed,

It was like we never really mattered.

I was suddenly crushed.

 

There were no reasons,

No explanations,

Just simple excuses.

And then he left,

He left me with bruises.

 

But I have to be strong, for the sake of my life,

Gonna fight through these lies,

See past this knife,

That’s hovering above my head.

 

Because it’s easy to be weak,

And it’s hard to be strong.

I’m gonna shred this feeling,

Cause I don’t wanna end up all wrong.

ahhhh, the break ups. There never really fun. i wrote this thinking of a family member, not about myself tho.

a very piognant write...the loss of love and the void that it creates is indeed to get over... but i like the way she wants to fight her way out of this heartache. reminds me of some lines from Jim.
" let me tell you about heartache and loss of God,
wandering, wandering in these hopless nights,
out here in the parameter there are no stars
out here, we are stoned immaculate"
