Ambrosia

Ambrosia

A Poem by Jonhoi Vaughn

For the need to live and to understand why I do so,
I climb heaven and connect to the protruding Intravenous devices.
Having added my self to a grand equation,
I stared down…
Watching earth, my denominator.

For the sake of nature, I obey the will to survive.
I anchor under God’s table to rob the crumbs.
To steal even the wine;
That which he cried through his mask,
Now perforated by clouds; by-products of my exhalation;
Divine Larceny….
And the hiding of it.

I think the name was the perfect start
the diction is definitely priceless
a true divine larceny

it may be too big for me to comment on this morning

"His table's spread too high for us

Unless we dine on tip-toe.

Crumbs fit such little mouths," Dickinson

It is a fine piece of work. And I imagine I will come back to it on another day when I feel taller.

brilliant...loved every line, but the ones i point blank applaud are
"Watching earth, my denominator."
and
"I anchor under God's table to rob the crumbs."
