Rush

I think you know me more than know

and you see me more than see

One of the best feelings in the world is this:

The rush.

You know exactly what I'm talking about.

It's what makes you feel as if you could fly.

It gives you sudden energy and you could dance the night away!

Everything is right in the world.

Electricity shoots through your fingertips.

Fireworks crackle.

60 million butterflies have taken flight in your stomach.

They zoom around your body and you smile like an idiot.

Your heart receives a hug from another heart.

and a soft warm blanket of love covers you up.

You both get drunk off of sheer happiness.

You become a team.

A connection.

A force to be reckoned with.

A powerhouse.

You could run the world with this person.

Because this person knows you, gets you, sees you, accepts you, and best of all..

they might be falling in love with you.

The song "Never Seen Anything Quite Like You" by the Script is my absolute favorite love song.

They nail it.

They capture the spirit of loving someone.

When it's right it's more than right

because you feel it more than feel

Kathryn, I'm back to reviewing. Sorry so long, wife's hospitalization and my own health issues had us laying low for quite awhile. This piece you've written is probably my favorite that I've read of yours. The feeling, the being, "the rush...." A universal feeling that you took and defined it in voluminous detail, beautifully done! One of your best for sure.
