Happy Go Lucky

Happy Go Lucky

A Story by Kathryn Smith

I'll give you the heavens

The stars in the sky

Every wooded creature

Every bird and butterfly

Come on and wade way out into the water with me

Jump in, and take my hand

My life is currently full of drama.

Everywhere I go.

Full of people who get their panties in a bundle over the tiniest thing.

Full of people who gossip and spread rumors about me, or others.

People who are proud to have dirt to spread around.

Facebook is full of rape culture, bad news, and scandal.

The media is obsessing over an assault.

Politicians are throwing tantrums.

People are sucked into their phones.

And children are developing anxiety.

Its so easy to get caught up in this, but if you'd like; take my lead.

My motto is; run.

Run away with glee and carefreeness down an empty unknown road.

Being happy go lucky is such a relief to me.

Imagine running with a group of people.

People who are wild.

People who love to dance.

People who see life as a giant party.

These kinds of people live in Ireland.

And I miss them, so, SO much.

Big thanks to Gaelic Storm for reminding me of it.

For reminding me of who I am.
