Im still here

Im still here

A Story by Kathryn Smith

Leave me alone
Stop shaming me
Of my faith
Of my life
Of my love

Stop attacking me
I am a woman for women
But I am not angry like you
Leave me alone
I will live how I want to live
Stop making me feel stupid
Leave me alone
Leave me alone
Stop it
I've had enough
My soul can only take so much
Make your voice kinder
Your criticizing into empathizing
Your hatred into love
You are my family
Will you stand with me?
Instead of holding grudges?
I'm sorry about the trauma
I didn't mean any of it
I couldn't help being born the way

I was
and I am so proud
and so thankful
That I
am still
here
