Japanese Cuisine

Japanese Cuisine

A Poem by ParkerTheWriter
"

I wrote this in the bar of a restaurant my friend works at. I was waiting there for my friend, I was picking him up.

"
As I sit here and browse the news,
I listen to the background chatter
of people’s lives in motion and discussion
of things to do,

Where to travel, what to see,
People to visit, laughter and joy,
These people are happy.
They seem like a couple, a typical kind.
They don’t seem depressed, they appear to be well educated,
they have healthy minds.

They are people, out on the town,
not worried by what’s happening around them.
They are caught up in the moment, a moment of love.
A bubble of their own world, unaffected by the outside.

They are loved.

I am not.

They sip drinks of alcohol and enjoy the time wasted.
They prepare to leave and begin their drive.

It seems they've enjoyed their night on the town,
but do they really enjoy their lives when others aren't around?

About
I enjoy reading philosophy. It's become one of my favorite reading materials. I'm very politically minded, often thinking of the faults and f**k ups of the world rather than the positive things in fro.. more..
