The price of freedom

The price of freedom

A Poem by ParkerTheWriter

Freedom isn't free,
the cost is blood on both land and both of your hands,
maybe some on your feet, don't forget the splash on your face,
a human's life painted on your skin and on your money,
the world is a stage and the leaders are the puppets,
the greatest show on earth, is the population itself,
we are a society obsessed with war and tragic events,
famous celebrities, televised award shows and super bowls,
We are flawed and we know it, We have too much to show for it,
We have all of the answers, we don't even have to look,
We exist in your hearts and your minds, it's not limited to books,

About
I enjoy reading philosophy. It's become one of my favorite reading materials. I'm very politically minded, often thinking of the faults and f**k ups of the world rather than the positive things in fro.. more..
