God gave man the power, and with it he wooed a woman, and for that, God is a fool
A Poem by Tyler Hipple
Experimental
For you, I lassoed the moon
Tied my heart strings around and pulled her close Watched the waves rise and your face glow You slept, and I watched over you My eyes weary and red Afraid if I slept you'd be gone when I awoke You are a water lily I, the water We sway together We are one, and in my heart I know this to be true Even though our worlds are far And our words few Hold me to the night sky, for I cannot compare to the stars I hold you to late morning, for you are far brighter than the sun A beacon of pure want To live, we write To write, we live And I live to love you
