That I Would Die For

That I Would Die For

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

That I Would Die For

Let me cleanse you of your pain,

like a gentle summer shower

that leaves the air refreshed.

Let me wash away your guilt,

like soap upon your skin

and make you silky soft.

Let me hold you and adore you

with every ounce of love

that I have in my heart.

For every moment in your life

I grow stronger,

and I know my soul belongs to you.

So let us collide like planets

so our universe explodes

and erupts with joy.

Let me kiss you deep

and in the meeting of our mouths

feel the passion of truth.

Give yourself faithfully to me

in that sweet, sweet surrender

that I would die for.

Mia you are so lovely. Many thanks
The things you wanna do for the person you love is amazing. You can go to any extent, you would do things which you never would do for yourself. For the presence you long, your poem expresses this beautifully

Hey Irene, I AM sweet-sometimes!

haha i know you are.
Such a beautiful sentiment...I often try to picture the people for whom poems have been written; and then squander the poet's devotion...they are always aesthetically beautiful, but internally rancid. I am so sorry you were hurt by what was the promise of a love everlasting.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
