Chemistry

I doubt I will ever love

so well again

or feel the depth of love

you showed for me.

I could live a billion years

and never repair

the hole your loss

has torn in my soul.

A gap through which whistles

a brittle, frozen gale,

leaving me so cold,

so truly bereft.

I search for reason

with these frozen hands

but only questions

beg to respond.

And only you will know

why you ended it

when we were

the purest chemistry?

Thank you Frieda
You're too full of love not to love again John, you've just gotta find the right mix of chemicals on both sides...

Exquisitely poignant poem that you have penned, John, the imagery your words conveyed in this
Piece, a heart's lament, not to mention, the fluidity that falls in each stanza. An incredible write…

You welcome, John...as you are as well! :)
chemistry... always thought that word was apt. It can lead to powerful emotions. Emotions that can cause great euphoria and also pain.

Aye true Mark but as it is rare one might think it worth holding on to when the alternative seems so.. read more

I dunno if rare is the right word. Uncommon maybe? I've certainly met many women II've felt it for.
Chemistry...without it, there is no relationship that can last. The deep melancholy and sadness in this write is well expressed. It's tough to believe you will ever love again and with that chemistry when a relationship dies, but you will.....if you are open to it. Honest emotions well expressed here, John. Lydi**

Thank you Lydi.
Someone will take hold of those frozen hands again and warm them up. You may not love the same again but you will love. Your heart, as evident by your words, is too splendid to be left alone for long.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
