The Dying of the Sun

The Dying of the Sun

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

We are but flesh.

"

The Dying of the Sun

I am strong enough

to penetrate the clouds,

To burst through

their hatred of the sun.

I will wait for clear skies

to fall upon my eyes.

I will endure the pain

that life has written

in my script.

And I will rise

as the dawn arrives

in soft hues

and gentle rays.

I will be there

to bare witness

to my demise.

Well that's the spirit! Not letting things break you, only bend you a little, so you can jump back up like rubberband, ever higher and stronger. Loving this!

this is amazing.....Seems the radiant soul is dying with the sun..Trying hard to penetrate and endure whatever comes it's way.A note of acceptance rings clearly in the poem.Sort of fearless approach.

I remain ever grateful for what I have been gifted; the flesh is weak but the sun endures; at least, for now. T

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
