I Fly

I Fly

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

In the sun!

"

I Fly

Leave the sky to me

for that is my domain.

As I soar into the azure blue

of its heart.

The sun is my captive

so long as I hold it

to my skin.

And there it will burn

into my soul

and leave it's indelible mark;

a tattoo forever

on my flesh.

Thank you Sereena, that was the message I hoped to instil.
Man's dream to fly never ends and you presented a very well written piece of those thoughts and wishes.

Yes indeed whether metaphorical or mechanical. Cheers Willard.
I used to dream I could fly. I'd run circles in my backyard as a little girl, [ DON'T LAUGH!! ] and thought the wind would carry me if I could gain momentum. I think it had something to do with Peter Pan.

Lovely thought, dear John!

such a close affinity with nature and its elements. It has a romantic perspective in it.Heat is necessary to warm up the blood of the poet and produce that youthful effervescence.Such an urge to fly.Amazing song as a bonus.too:)you are certainly flying on the "viewless wings of poesy"
