Purged

Purged

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Parting of the clouds.

"

Purged

Sometimes I freeze;

simply become stuck.

Unable to do anything

or make a decision.

In those moments

there is panic

for that is simply

alien to me.

I've always been

unafraid to choose

which path to take.

Tonight a light summer shower

brought much needed rain

to my garden

and in that brief cleansing,

in that moment of quenching

as the day cooled,

I found myself again.

It's not unusual for us to find ourselves our retrieve ourselves again in the arms of natural beauty. There's something mystical and magical about it. Gorgeous poem!

Thank you so much Sereena.
Wow....it's the most relatable writeup.I guess for all of us.Sometimes we are incapable of taking some decisions and everything is just muddled up.Yet,when again we come under the influence of a powerful stimulus,no matter even small or trivial,we are united with our own self. That's a happy reunion, ending on a note of self which is very important:)

It was lovely and real. Thank Willard.
I really really liked this a lot. So little words, so much power. Very raw and emotive. I fell right into this. I love how the sounds make this a whole sensory experience.

Thank you very much. I am pleased you enjoyed it.
Oh yes, the rain can cleanse the soul and put things into perspective, no doubt of that. I do have a couple edits in this one, John. Line 9, it should be "I've always been" and in Line 13, it should be "much needed rain". I think you typed it so quickly, you just let emotions take over. Lydi**

Indeed Lydi and thank you for picking up my gaffs!
~There certainly seems to be something spiritual about the steady rhythm of a good rain storm. It is the music of meditation. You've expressed your words well.~

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
