You Are

You Are

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Love does not die!

"

You Are

You can tear the pages

from the diary of our hearts,

but you cannot

erase its cause.

You can fill your days

with thrills and spills

but you will never

forget my arms around you.

Nor the passion I had for you

as the woman of my dreams.

You will never forget

the devotion I offered

to you, my earthly soul mate,

or our forever precious love.

I used to be exactly the situation (personified)defined in this poem a few years back.A sad thing. There are just mates,no soul mates(just my opinion).

Indeed it is sadness that will remain until the sun shines on love again. Even then it stays buried .. read more
there is a sadness here....soulmates don't always find each other, and once they do, don't always stay together....

mine and i met too early in our lives....and ended up going our separate ways, more because of circumstances rather than loss of passion.

Ah....if only she was still here instead of off with another, other. Thanks Robert.
Beautiful love poem. People spew hated towards past loves, missing the point that there is and was something there at one point. Rather than throw away all the good of a relationship, we have to embrace it for what it was at one time. The memories I try to carry of past love is always one of the good times and what I loved about them. Even as they may continue to hate my guts. LOL

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
