Finding Me, Seeking SalvationA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenRecovering but still punch drunk!Finding Me, Seeking Salvation
Here I am chained to the horns of this dilemma, held against my will in this vexing vortex of disappointment and frustration.
Am I simply a victim of my own circumstance or a victim of the greed and avarice of those who would steal my soul?
Those who put things above true love and devotion, and who value acquisition of worldly goods more than the honesty of true affection.
So who am I now they have left these brutal scars, left me a battered wreck whose soul is tarnished with the flecks of bloody revenge?
Who will I be when the raging seas begin to quell, when the hurricane passes and the earth calms enough to assess the destruction caused?
Who will I become as feeling returns to a blood starved heart and the angry coronary cramp of hate subsides as my romantic, loving spirit returns home?
