Insincerity

Insincerity

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Ah the games......................................!

"

Insincerity

Years of false kisses,

airbrushing away a love

that was true and deep.

It is love that more often causes war. Not hate. Thank you for the beautiful words.

I hate users but sometimes - like the old masters when x-rayed - there are often other copies or 'attempts' underneath.
'airbrushing away love' is a heartbreaking line John.

Indeed Tony, indeed. Many thanks.
Very sad. Reminds me of the sixties song, "The games people play". So many "airbrush" away a life going through the motions fooling only themselves and hurting everyone in their paths. Good one, John. Lydi**

Indeed so Lydi. Many thank yous.
Yes, "the games"....moving, poignant, perfect Senryu. Love after the love is gone...all the passionate colors bleached out. Well-penned John.
