Creation

Creation

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Is it?

"

The black,

the charcoal darkness

sweeps in, frozen.

Cold as ice and stone,

cutting as diamond

or glass

or the sharpest words.

The void smothers,

suffocates

as air is sucked

in greedy gulps from the

dying vacuum.

A planet spins,

a star explodes.

Quarks fly

in defiance of light

and heat and time

to settle in dust.

Outstanding use of words John.
"The void smothers,
suffocates
as air is sucked
in greedy gulps from the
dying vacuum."
The above lines. So good and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

This makes me think of how so much begins or is housed in chaos but with time can be brought to order. But there’s the cycle. When order is established chaos will inevitably follow at some point. Makes me think, too, of the act of artistic creation and how that can be explosive and only partially controlled. There are always surprises. Cool poem, John.

This reminds me of a version of "the curious life of benjamin button" but from God's point of view, if he decided to put everything in reverse.
this puts a great slant on that story.
