The Artemis Accords

The Artemis Accords

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

First my apologies for another space themed piece but I am captivated by the Artemis Project. Second my apologies to Richard for failing so spectacularly to complete the task of writing a Nabla Del!

"

At last, a man and a woman will step on the moon's surface hand in hand:

It's thirty eight long years since a human walked on the lunar surface,

a brave space programme delayed due to tragedy and to sorrow;

only this time a woman too will look back at the blue planet,

herald a brand new dawn, a new day, a new tomorrow.

This time planning to stay, to build a space colony

and thus we create a sustainable presence,

living and breathing the moon's waters

that will give life its very essence.

From there it is on to Mars

as man sets sail anew,

off to distant stars.

And we watch

him rising

again.

Pretty damned good, My Friend. : )
Nothing really all that needed.
I'm sincerely honored,
Applauding you!
"Superb!"

No apologies to me, please, John … you've made an exemplary effort, rivaling my own and all those who've undertaken this challenging original form.

Thank you ever-so gratefully for trying something different/new … KUDOS! ⁓ Richard 🍃

I have to grade this a well-deserved 100.

That is most kind Amber. Thank you so much!
Wow! I just learned about those accords. Very noble endeavours indeed. To send a woman to space too, that will be wonderful. Humans love adventures and exploration. I guess this inquisitiveness is in our genes. The future is bright in that aspect. We might have to live on other planets if things get bad here or hide in caves. I like the form and the poem dear John.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
