Cutting Turf

Cutting Turf

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Indeed for me art encapsulates the pure and scientific form

"

Having no real form,

I plough my own word furrows

in poetry's fields.

Making deep inroads...
We inspire, sometimes without realizing we do.

Thank you once more from a wet and dreary day in England AJNJ.

Welcome and nice weekend sir!
I think I drove past you field...
the car started reciting senryu...
made me go home and buy a plough to replace
my typewriter.

Sorted! The king of allegory/metaphor makes my day with such a marvelous comment. Many thanks Jacob!
John,
The Senryu is one of my favorite Japanese forms, along with the Haiku; either is more challenging than first blush would lead one to believe.
In fact, my latest attempt is a Haiku … sorta weird, I'm told … but, a Haiku, nonetheless.

Very catchy, John,
Pharrell is one of my faves, too.
Laid with apt skill … much enjoyed.

Make it "poetry's fields". : )
