Do Fish Get Thirsty?

Something for fun while I was in college

A water serpent nesting in coral.

Making it’s marine bed to lay in.

A little girl of about 12,

Taps on the glass of the aquarium.

She asks her mother “do fish get thirsty?”,

And her father gives a disapproving look.

As if to say “these things can’t be answered”

But her 6-year old brother knows well..

“it drinks all the bubbles!”.
