There really is no wind (Timeless Road)

There really is no wind (Timeless Road)

A Poem by Richard

There really is no wind,
the road that went mostly forgotten
It hasn’t forgotten you
The awkward footsteps molded from a decade of angry sun prove that

There really is no time,
according to the power of the light which drags along the hurt road until the butterfly stops by for a chat
it says “look at us, boy, can you believe the nectar this summer ..
I wouldn’t trade it for the world”

But all the time and wind in the world couldn’t zig or zag (or preamble even) where timeless road just sits still waiting for the day when the wistful couple in their barefooted feet stroll carefree at sundown laughing because “I forgot to turn off the stove this morning” is the greatest concern in life

Sometimes though, when emerald green grass decides to sprout up from a chosen patch of tarmac where ants and grasshoppers do their bartering business, you can tell, the road isn’t timeless at all, it’s just patient

If the road is an individual, its amazing. Then ending delivers so much, great piece. I love your style. Thank you for sharing.
