trying not (just to be feeling ways)

trying not (just to be feeling ways)

A Poem by Richard

tomorrow, this will all look different to you

nightshade by the thousand islands

the way you make me happy

quite sure either way, it doesn't mean you have to stop or listen because I asked

or shouted just because I was

my selfish half

there's something wrong, and

there could be gaps in what I'm feeling

bandaged nowhere near finished

like buildings that never got around to building

there could be holes, there are holes, gaping, some even close to the surface

it could be good advice not to tell me that I'm falling

and not the way you think

and not quite getting up

it's ok to lie here

if it's practicing

If you see the birds

"Don't go away, sing your song go sing it and come back if you don't like where you're going"

because tomorrow, really, is where you belong

not just here

not just now

there doesn't have to be a fracture, Love

my mistake

everybody

thank you

who came

…Love
