darkened light

darkened light

A Poem by Richard

mother, so difficult

mother, so different

in the light the guiding light i stand tall

in the cold the freezing cold

i worry

brother, have the faith

to remember yourself on your birthday

this way hurry

have the courage to go from place to place like you used to

mariyari i thought

when the hissing kettle stopped

was what they called me a long time ago

kissed by so many strangers

how could they?

with the weight of my depression

holding on to you

I'm sorry now mother, and I was before

you organized my life i messed it up

now the road with the bandage

can heal the lost soldiers

in the bloody orange sun

of the burgundy isles

howard & his hubcap

travellers from town to ocean

into town

where's the flower cloud and cape canaveral?

howard

that way hurry

poems on his arms

and he called them tattoo

without names
