The Little Yellow Pill.

The Little Yellow Pill.

A Poem by Paul Bell

A little bit of hash aint no trash

Mother needs that little yellow pill to keep her still

L. S.D it just doesn’t agree

Father works so hard, I find it sad

Purple heart, not a bad start

Sister’s going to complain, boyfriend didn’t turn up again

Tonight it must be speed, such greed

Mothers going to bed, she’s going to rest her head

I’ll try cocaine, it sends me insane

Fathers going to say, well son, how was it today

I’ll smoke some grass, let life pass

My sister has to say, you don’t look too well these days

Well, it looks like it must be Babs

Especially now I’m sad

Mother’s dying, Father’s crying, Sister’s ill

I think it must be the little yellow pill.

Ah, so that's what happens when a whole family is on drugs.
Any other takes on it with different colors?

It is. You now need the red pill.
Whew, the closest I was to a drug not prescribed from a doctor was me leaving work and offering to give 3 girls a ride to a party that was on my way. They lit up weed and by the time I dropped them off I had a contact high. Couldn't even find my way home for a long time. Drove home in winter with my windows open for fresh air. And kids say nothing happens from smoking it. Valentine

Tried hashish once. Never done a thing for me.
like Lydia said...this had me humming Mothers Little Helper...""she goes running for the shelter of her mother's little helper--"

we get crazy we take pills to calm us down...we feel better, but then we feel worse because of the pills...a never ending cycle to find peace and serenity in a world of chaos.

Is there a pill to make me run faster.
A cornucopia of mind altering drugs sprinkled throughout your lines! A great job of rhythm and rhyme. That "little yellow pill" seems to bring on a whole world of hallucination and problems. Reminds me of the song, "Mother's Little Helper" by the Rolling Stones! Good one. Lydi**
