America In Waiting

America In Waiting

A Poem by Paul Bell

The wounded animal is at its most dangerous when approached.
This animal has been festering for a lot of years now.
An open wound covered by the bloody bandage of past glories.
Waiting to rise.
Seeking direction.
The inspiring leader.
When the world seeks guidance, and the house is dark.
Dangerous times lie ahead.

If anyone is a history buff, they can just look back from the beginning until now and shake in their boots. Like a sled running down hill. Valentine

The players may change but the game remains the same! Animal and human. Well written poem! Its meaning is truth. Tyfs!
