Like You

A Poem by Pauline Marie Daley
"

A poem I wrote for my grandfather's funeral.

"

Life is like a walk,

Up a steep mountain's peak.

And as we climb we talk

To find the things that we seek.

You've served Jehovah long and hard,

Further and further you've climbed.

But Satan has from life you barred,

How we wish you had more time.

But we'll see each other again,

When the world has reached its peak,

We'll prey to Jah and say amen,

Because all of the meek,

Will enjoy the paradise so dear,

See the loved ones we have lost,

We will no longer Satan fear,

But serve Jehovah, whatever the cost.

So now we say good-bye,

To someone very dear.

In sweet slumber you lie,

But we are very near,

To this wicked mountain's peak.

Like you in Jehovah we fear and

Like you, righteousness we seek.
