One Chilly November Day

One Chilly November Day

A Poem by Pauline Marie Daley

I sat in the car one chilly November day,

And looked up towards the sky.

Across the horizon dark clouds played,

Keeping the sun on the other side.

I thought the clouds were dark and bleak,

Until I looked again,

And saw the radient golden peaks,

To me, its light, the sun did send.

As I watched, the sky grew bright.

The clouds were white, restored.

I had witnessed quite a wonderful sight.

And looked towards the sky once more.

This is really beautiful. You are a very sophisticated writer... much more articulate than myself and I admire that. I love that you have expressed so much in beauty in such a simple act. I love it.

Hi Pauline

This a very hopeful poem, the metaphors you use are beautiful... in some ways it reminds me of the old saying that, "behind every dark cloud there's a silver lining" and, It's always darkest just before the dawn."

Nature can be so inspirational and healing, it was a pleasure to read.

A very nice vision. I, too, have seen a cloudy sky turn bright. An excellent poem, Pauline.
