Who Said There Are No Songs In Winter

Who Said There Are No Songs In Winter

A Poem by Pauline

Just imagine

As raindrops fall

On a tin roof

The beat steady

The pulse giving it structure

The rhythm creating pattern

Texture

The tapping on your window

Building softly

Persuasively blending

One with the other

Finding the balance

All the time looking for colour

No muddy wash of sound

Your consciousness heightens

Grasping the melody that

Nature is sending

It’s a living breathing

Reality with resonance

And unimaginable depth

So who said there are no songs in winter

there is a different feel, a different sound to the rain in winter...
and the songs do seem to have deeper lyrics.
they tell a story whereas summer raindrops
just chatter on about nothing, but feel nice.

Thank you J. Your summer raindrops that you speak of remind me of a few that I know.
