Heart break Hotel

Heart break Hotel

A Poem by Paul williams

Heel tapping,
Echoing in this half empty room,
That holds emotions,
That could become just memories soon.
I wipe my dry mouth,
With the sleeve that is below,
The place i wear my heart,
Now my feelings are on show.
The skies a different colour today,
The wind has changed direction.
That blow my hopes and dreams,
And carries my affection.
Cant get up to close the window,
Incase i miss your call,
Instead i let the air come in,
And tilt the pictures on the wall.
I know its all my doing,
It seems so obvious now,
How could i throw away a life,
I once dreamt id have somehow.
Now i sit here in my dingy shell,
of shattered broken times,
Waiting for your phone call,
A hope, a chance, a sign.
Im in a corner with no gloves on,
Just waiting for the bell,
In a state of desperation,
A room for one in heartbreak hotel.
