How Could You?

How Could You?

A Poem by Peachy ;)
"

You were an awful man.

"

It’s a bit wild

How much your daughter made me smile

When what you did to me was foul

You really made me throw in the towel

You f*****g hurt me, dude!

Can’t you see?

I was just an innocent little child

Why would you do that to me?

More details uncovered

Previously unknown,

Did you f**k me in my sleep?

Just so I could use your phone?

“Not allowed technology”,

My dad made that clear

You owe me a f*****g apology

For scarring me for years

What made you think that was okay, man?

I was a basically a baby!

Nine or ten

Wondering “When’s this gonna end?”

Waking up, feeling your fingers inside,

I was scared shitless, f****r,

I can’t tell you how many times I cried

You were supposed to be my dad’s best friend!

And you saw it as a perk

I was small and sleeping

That’s when you went berserk!

Yanking my pants off, like it was okay

I may have been snoozing

But what the f**k, man? Anyway,

You took advantage of me

I was so young.

I still remember waking up

To the feeling of your tongue

You should be put away for the crime you did

I hope one day soon...

I hope you get committed

A little background, I was young, and he was my dad's best friend. His daughter was also my best friend. I didn't wanna break that bond, so I kept my mouth shut till I was seventeen.

Poetry and writing is a great way to get out thoughts and emotions that are held inside. It helps get closure in some sense.

This is an atrocious vile act that does so much damage and leaves trauma and scars. I hope the writing is helping and I hope that you are get some sort of counseling or talking to someone. This shouldn’t happen to anyone!!!

You're a talented young writer with a lot to say.
Your experience is unfortunate, to put it mildly, but it seems to me you're rising above it all and that's awesome to see. Much love. 💙

Hi, Peachy 🍊

Richard is my name and I warmly welcome you back to the Café.
Yes, barleygirl (Margie) was one of my favorites, too … I sometimes miss her a lot. She is a fine poetic artist and book author.
Oh-BOY! I get to be first to review you. : )

Gosh, Peachy!
How sad your poem here makes me feel, but how happy, too, because you now have healed to the level of being able to write about your experiences openly and share with the deft skills of your excellent poetry.
You remind me of the validity of an olde saying, "What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger."

My hat's off to You in deepest respect and admiration.
Big hugs and "A Wondrously Happy Spring!" ⁓ Richard 🖌️
