Which pet do you choose?

A parrot that yaks a lot,

A snake in a pot

Or a dog as black as a spot?

A tiger with sharp nails,

A shark called danger

Or a wolf which from the steppes hails?

A sheep to count to sleep,

An elephant to keep triumphant

Or a horse for an errant knight?

Which animal tickles your fancy?

Choose wisely and I promise…

You shall be happy.

LOL I never choose a pet they always seem to chose me:) seriously they just show up at my house or this last one snuck into my store one day so I suppose i am my cats pet if you think about it:/

Freedom of choice is important, so in light of that, this poem is really cool :) Need and want are dfferent things...I would choose none if it were to mean their downfall because of human greed :) Enjoyed thinking about this piece :)
