Monkey, monkey...

Monkey, monkey...

A Poem by Pennywriter

Staring Monkey
Gazes at you
Straight in the eye.
What's he up to?

Exemplary monkey
Doing it all,
For adults and kids
To see.

Driving monkey
Drives a car,
Over speeds.
Has no license.

Monkey brawl
Monkey punches friend
For no
Reason at all.

I like the dichotomy of the human-monkey. This is a very honest, very clever, very amusing anthropological insight you've cooked up here. I think it's fairly safe to assume each and everyone of us has and will again at some point resort to our more instinctual side, for the better or the worse or maybe even both at the same time... life can be messy. Nice work.

Fascinating piece...the comparison to humans is one thing but the structure and questioning within this is another, brilliantly executed...made me think on consequences...we all have them for better or worse...enjoyed this piece :)

Very funny my friend and aren't we all monkeys from time to time! We can be funnier than the real ones and especially I. me, myself. Loved this and I'm inspired too. Keep penning!

Thank you for your encouraging words. You also, keep penning!
Although is a bit unusual, I like it. Visualizing a monkey doing each thing is fun. They're not much different from us, are they?

Indeed sir. Some behavior patterns are very "similar" to our human ones.
