A Question

A Question

A Poem by Perdition

Is this enough

to love what comes in shards and fragments

Enough to spare our open wounds

Is it enough

these words before the light of summer grows cold

The only truth I've ever known

trembles in this lingering star

It bleeds

Come night

or rainfall

It calls, it haunts me

Is this enough to live-

enough to die,

enough to dare-

enough..

The love of these shattered arms

is it enough

The life we shared, come others

is there enough, still hovering in the twilight

In promises

whispered branches, birds and ghosts of older springs

Two of us, someday one

asleep and lifeless,

Dreams to blades in the memory and beds of goldenrod,

Could this be enough

most welcome, dear :D
Shards and fragments get together to make one heart, can it last?
From broken love, we try to pick up the pieces...is it possible with another in the same situation to join us and have that relationship surprise us and last till death do us part...until we are asleep and lifeless.
Or as the last line might intimate...can the old relationships that didn't work out, the ones just in our memory now be enough.
