Calm Before The Storm (Chapter One) Before it All BeganA Story by BriBearScarlet Davidson looks back and tries to figure out where she got mixed up with the leader of a gang. Especially since seeing him again is making everything come rushing back. All she wants is out.Clouds hung low in the sky leaving a sort of eerie mist over everything. It was one of those days where you just knew everything was going to go horribly horribly wrong. Stop. Rewind. Scratch out everything I just said because it's a load of bullshit. I may have been 13 but the details are still as clear as the lines on my palms. It was in a perfect neighborhood, at least it was through my newly teenage eyes. The type of neighborhood that named their streets after things in nature. I stood on the corner of Maple and Elm. In front of me was one of those perfect little houses with the white picket fences all away around. Colorfully blooming planters boxes rested below each of the windows and the grass was about as green as it would ever be. The sun stood proud in the sky, not a cloud in sight trying to take it's place.
As I said before I was 13years old. My shoulder length brown hair was pulled up into pippylong stalking pony tails. And my outfit of choice was a white tshirt and overalls. I wasn't even aware of how insanely innocent I looked. I stood shy behind my brother as he talked to one of his friends. His name was Jason. He had pitch black hair and peircing ice blue eyes. He was also 6 years older than me. I didn't care I was in love. "You know Scarlett you don't have to hide." he said, "I don't bite, hard."
I stepped out from next to my brother and tried to hide the blush creeping up my cheecks. "Bently, I wanna go home." I said tugging on his sleeve.
"Sorry princess, but your brother can't leave just yet. " the look in his eyes seemed so genuine, like hell was still contained for at least a little while longer. Then again I didn't know hell was even going to break loose. I was only 13. I didn't know the warning signs. "We're waiting for some friends. How about I bring you inside to meet a special friend of mine. Her name is Anglica."
I looked up at Bently with pleading in my eyes. I wanted to do anything that would make Jason happy. How could I be so stupid? © 2011 BriBearAuthor's Note
