A recipe for depression

Ingredients.

Three small spoons of crushed dreams.

A pint of tears. 

A handful of bitterness. 

A pinch of sorrow. 

Stir it all in the slow fire of regret, let it all cool down in grudge.

To the table little ones, depression is served. 

Heartbreak is for dessert. 

And sadness our cow can be milked over and over again.

you sure mixed and stirred this one. that's one recipe i know all too well but could do without. and be sure to have a bucket handy for when you have to puke it all up because most of us have trouble keeping it down. cleverly baked.

That sounds like a hex is about to be served. Depression can be created due to the thing you describe above, trauma and a multitude of other things.
