You were once mine

You were once mine

A Poem by The_Ancient_Rock
"

A difficult subject for me...

"
My greatest joy.
My deepest sorrow.
My old yesterday.
My new tomorrow.

My happy weekends,
when we were still friends.
Playing games,
wrecking toy trains.

My days of blue,
remembering you.
My lost sleepless nights,
without guiding lights.

My days of yore.
The child I knew before.
My lost treasure.
Empty days with no measure.

My greatest grief,
with absolutely no relief.
My neverending pain,
slowly driving me insane.

My greatest regret,
that one day I left,
and could not come back.
Everything went off track.

And I have been wandering lost ever since...

Time keeps losing all meaning.

The pain of losing someone is so very tearfully penned in this very heart-wrenching poem, dear A.R.
I sense a feeling of guilt due to not being there when your loved one crossed over to Spirit, but the truth is that your beloved may not have wanted you to witness their passing because of their great love for you. It happened with both my parents, but I never felt regret at not being there because I know they would not have wanted me there to see their final breath and it will be the same with me when my time comes. I have already told my children that I do not want them there with me when I am about to leave this world. The depth of our love for someone dictates the depth of our grief and your beloved person was sssssoooo loved by you. Your grief indicates this throughout the poem. I feel that writing the poem was a help in airing your feelings and a step forward towards healing, dear A.R. Your loved one has not left you, she walks beside you each moment of the day. I sense a motherly feeling and wonder if you are mourning your lovely Mammy? You can still talk to her, she will hear you and will leave you little tokens from Spirit such as feathers, coins (see the date on the coin, it will be meaningful to you), visits from Robins and butterflies too. Thank you so very much for sharing your feelings, dear A.R. Hold the beautiful memories you have close, they will keep out the negative thoughts of guilt and promote inner healing. I extend my deepest sympathy to you and you will be in my thoughts and prayers too. Keep safe and well, dear A. R.

Wow. I felt the emotions hanging there.
Sometime grief often comes when we are okay but that's just to get us stronger and keep remembering that even after storms. Comes light(happiness) and it's us to keep ourselves positive.

Grief no matter who or what we are grieving is hard and many times pops up when least expected or may grow less intense but always there
