After Sins

After Sins

A Poem by Pharos
"

but only you and what's left of me...

"
In this hands, I always tend to look.
The stains of sin and regrets, still
lingers inside my head.

I have wandered far, losing myself
in the moment, not caring for what
I truly am. My heart that's already
hardened, full of hollowness and
fury, I have lost control.

But all of this, everything that I have
fought for, suddenly it changes.

That day when I met that person,
who gave me a second chance at life.
Sharing both our sorrows and empty
selves, we found a new sense of hope.

It was not for long, but I still remember
those blissful days.

Until I've lost it, that one thing I promised
to protect. Holding onto her with a shaking
breath, tears come falling, I could only
regret.

Both eyes hollowed, as those final words
whisper...

"I'm sorry, there's no next time...
But only you and what's left of me;
that still lingers in your heart and
memory."

Reaching out with one last breath, she left
me a painful scar that I shall never forget.

It wasn't a battle scar to be proud of,

but an open wound that aches everyday.
Reminding the past and only shows of
how one and not the other, has got here
today...
