The Forest Elf Chronicles: The Fifth Scroll

The Defenders

Lord Araceae was the supreme head of the Defenders’ units

Stationed in Lianas barracks experience dictated their rank

All multi-disciplined in combat and counter-offensive techniques

Instilled within their psyche an ethos of strength through peace

Their roles were one of peacemaking and supporting the meek

Perpetually standing by for orders when not on normal patrol

Inconel breast-plated uniforms of the finest forged alloys worn

And complimented with impressive graphene Elven armour

Swords infused with magic runes and stylised Mystic blessed bows

Brothers Rowan and Ash T’Rees stood impressive in full regalia

And attracted second looks and interest from the Elven women

Hazel Nutt with particularly interest in officer Rowan T’Rees

Rowan pretended he didn’t notice Hazel’s showing off for him

But she knew he was looking from his obvious dim-witted grin

It was inevitable that someday they would end entirely as one

Bois DeBoulian posting his reports shared a chuckle with Ash

It was a cordial social structure that benefited all Defenders

However when sense of duty called a solemn tone was espoused

Thus Silvaque Perdendas citizens could rest easy in their dwellings

Knowledgeable of realms security was safe in Lord Araceae’s hands

And secret advantage in the form of Princess Tacca Chantrier’s power

In times of peace it is effortless to fall into the trap of complacency

For though our idyllic city basks in the Sacred Singularity’s grace

Due diligence must be maintained at the highest level of protection

This manuscript scroll of birch bark is written with hand-trebling quill

Not just on Defenders testimony but the awareness of unease I felt

For whilst visiting the Imperial Citadel I heard the Princess scream

I must earnestly consult with Lord Araceae and the Elder Edit Scribes

This disturbing event needs further investigation to resolve my thoughts

So ends the Fifth Scroll chronicles: Leif the Wizard privileged servant

" I heard the Princess scream", no Leif say it isn't so! The Fifth Scroll tells of the Defenders-, and the T'Ree brothers Rowan and Ash (love!)- the keepers of the peace...wish we had them in our world. Beautifully penned and illustrated and holding us in suspense.... "Strength through peace" - YES! Kudos 4-Ever!
