Passionate Serenity

How deeply exhilarating

Skiing down the sensual slopes

Of midnight’s riotous rainbow

Straight into your golden charms

Bluebirds need blindfolds

Blushing at our loving escapades

As enthusiasms throw caution

To a storm of pulsing passions

Up and beyond secret treasure

Lays wanting to be discovered

By ravenous impatient lovers

Reluctant to linger for long

But patience is a virtue

Precious to each other’s reflection

Thus slowly savouring love’s succulents

Makes the ardour last till dawn

Hmmm isit summer... :) Phill...
Maybe you should serve your iced tea..along with the poem...
I think this is very beautiful...
And does that closing lines have a twisted double layer to it...

I think this pic is fav. Of many at cafe... I myself have used it in one of my poems...

Overall a nice poem for a sweet evening... :)

Let there be love. What a sensual, hot and passionate write. I enjoyed every line. Yes and patience can be a virtue. Great writing and the image you posted is strong and goes very well with your words. You have created some delightful lines in this poem. Wish I was brave enough to tackle this subject matter.

Thank you Phill

Thank you for your review my friend :-)
Love is for lovers they say...perhaps that's the way it should be. I'm glad someone out there is focused on the pleasures of life rather than on the pain and injustice. A toast to the lovers and the romantic fools among us. I enjoyed.
