Sipping Sensuality

Sipping Sensuality

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Exotic cocktail ………..

"

Sipping Sensuality

Placed purposefully about her boudoir

Three hundred lily-scented tea lights

Cast minutiae petite dancing shadows

Upon embossed red wallpaper strips

A Derek Rose cashmere dressing gown

Hung trophy style on a clandestine door

With a large beige Persian Kirman rug

Flattering solid hardwood polished floor

Amber and dragon’s blood incense sticks

Fashioned an atmosphere of anticipation

Every sensual aspect of staged ambience

Screamed wanting for special attentions

Upon soft gold embroidered chaise longue

Reclined In translucent nightgown of silk

She smoulders pure mystically raw radiance

Whilst serenely sipping cocktails like milk

An anticipated click from wild garden gate

Announced arrival of her keen fervent lover

Thus knowing the moment has drawn near

She welcomes passionate masculine cover

I love the adjectives and nouns spun together to paint such a detailed picture in my head, I don't find imagery like this in today's writing works. Amazingly refreshing, with subtle rhyme's leaving the imagination to do it's work but also providing a flow that I've always appreciated and adored in poetry.

You want to linger on thechaise lounge...
Just a little bit longer...
Very pleasant piece..

I love the title. There's a simultaneous softness and elegance to each stanza's imagery. The line "Three hundred lily-scented tea lights" sets such a nice scene. Well done!

Those were the days when women knew who they were... and you've gathered that time and placed cues under every sub-heading exquisitely. You could design sets for theatre, turn history on its head et al.
