My Love, Stained By Blood

My Love, Stained By Blood

A Poem by RJ. Wolf
"

Warning for violent description.

"
My Love, Stained By Blood

I just want to wrap my hands around your throat,
Know that as you choke
And plead for breath
It is entirely my doing;
My nails in your skin,
My palms against your pulse,
My eyes that you're staring into.

I just want to stop the beating of your heart
Slowly, so I can feel it
And you can feel it;
The life draining slowly from your eyes
As your strength fades,
As you slow
And finally come to a peaceful still.

I want to drown you in the River Thames
With both hands in your hair,
Clutching thick locks as you thrash.
Underwater screams echo
In no one's ears but your own
But I can feel them through my touch
And we both know we both love it.

I want to guard you with my life,
A loyal dog
And frightful beast.
I want to stop the pain as you bleed out,
Caught between pressing your wounds shut
And tearing open the throat of the one
Who dares to hurt you.

I love you more than I can say
And I know you feel the same.
No one else would spend their dying moments lost in their lover's eyes;
As your life goes mine follows.
I wouldn't allow the privilege
Of a slow and loving death
To anyone but you,

My Dear.

"I just want to wrap my hands around your throat,

Within these verses. I swore my heart skipped a beat. It's the most amazing thing i've ever read in a really long time and I mean that. It was striking and it gave love a whole new perspective. This is both beautiful and creepy! A revolutionary combination. Please keep writing mam!

more of prose, where's rhyming?

I think impact can be produced two ways: by force, or by leading. And in those two ways disdain may arise when the impacted perceives a flash of gray in the colored picture before them. They sense fools gold. I think somewhere in the last two stanzas that happened.

Wow, to protect as well as hurt the one you hold dear, that sums up love in general nicely. To heal then slowly damage another, while wanting to stare into their loving eyes. Truly sinister yet oh so lovely write, the emotions are well placed ;)

This is just completely contradictory and POWERFUL! I love it. This is a mature piece that accurately describes the pain and torture of being loved, and of loving. Just a fantastic write. You use great word choice and imagery. Loved it!

Heh, the last line really takes it out of "ouch that hurts" into "hey, that's messed up". I love it. "Caught between pressing your wounds shut / And tearing open the throat..." are the lines that I would pick as a mini-poem inside the poem (kinda like a haiku if I could get the syllables right) that encapsulates the whole.

Good luck working in the film industry!
