Wounded Faith

Wounded Faith

Part 1:
Hidden beneath a mask of pearls and lace.
Bound to the pews since childhood labeled as a disgrace.
To be conformed to a saint that can't achieve sin.
With hope for the God that I don't believe in.
Part 2:
Underneath the beautiful eyes of his way down deep..
Beats the heart of a wounded soul.
The hurt piercing his little faith as the tears begin to seep.
The pews of a jail, a modern day slave bound to a questionable fate.
A slap in the face as proof that he was never to achieve sin.
Only to be conformed to a monster consumed in nothing but hate..
And all for the God he never believed in..
Underneath the beautiful eyes of his way down deep..
Beats the heart of a broken soul, now mine to love and to keep.
