Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by a.r.

There is something about the darkness

So serene

Blocking out everything

As if it were music for the

Eyes

Darkness, blackness

Is

It.

Moonlight is an acquaintance

          But not always there.

Darkness stays the same though

In summer, winter

Spring, fall

    The dark days

The light ones

The loud ones

The quiet.

Consistency is key

Throughout everything.

An abyss

  A space

   An extraordinary

Sky filled with streaks

Contrast between

Colors

Feelings

Tastes

Shades

Textures

 Thoughts

    Ideas

Persons

  Places

 Actions

Movements

Experiences

Sensations

A lake displaying,

   Mirroring

The sky

The other side

Another dimension

A difference

  Only separated by a thin

           Line

But all Tied in,

Making, building

The

Darkness.
