Dancing in the Rain

Dancing in the Rain

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Life is filled with ups and downs,

The Whys, the Hows

Leave you wondering what’s it all about,

As you pick up your heart from the ground.

Through the storm,

Something holds onto your arm.

And though you may feel pain,

Dance in the rain.

The rhythm and tune

Is about the true you.

The beat rolls on,

Giving life to your song.

At times you feel so lost

And you feel alone.

This is when you pray,

Dancing in the rain.

For God on High

Is ever on your side.

He will fill your heart with joy again,

As love to your soul He sends.

When trials come

May His will be done.

For it releases His glory

And He becomes a part of the story.

So, take a breath

As in the Savior you rest.

The Lord is your stay,

So, keep dancing in the rain.
